Weekly Blog must reads

Happy Sunday! It’s time again for a review of some of our weekly blog must reads! Hope you enjoy them as much as we did!

First of all, if you have not heard or read, Social Media Examiner has announced the finalists in their Top Blogs of 2014 contest! I try to keep up with all the blogs listed. There really weren’t any new comers for me in this list. They are all awesome! Be sure to check out the list here – Top Social Media Blog Finalists 2014.

The Best Apps and Tools to Create Visual Content: Jenn Herman over at Jenn’s Trends – who is one of the Social Media Examiner finalists by the way – had a great post here listing some great new tools for creating visual images! Several in this list are already my favorites, and I found a couple that I plan to try out soon!

5 Smart Ways to Embrace LinkedIn:  Laurie Hurley for Social Solutions Collective says that “LinkedIn is not just for finding a job.” That’s a line that I’ve told others many times, and this post explains why! This network is one I hope to do even more with this year, and I hope you will too!

2014 Social Media Statistics that Will Guide Your Strategy: Looking for some pretty impressive stats that are up-to-date regarding social media? Look no further! This is a great wrap-up from Melonie Dodaro over at Top Dog Social Media (another finalist in the Social Media Examiner contest!). By the way, one of these awesome stats is that Social Media Budgets will Double in 2014! Check out the link for more!

How to Blog Like Mike: Okay, this one is from a blog that I only more recently stumbled upon thanks to spending more time on G+. It’s a great one with tons of great posts! Check all of posts out if you can find time! You won’t regret it! This one I’ve linked to really caught my eye this week, partly because of my recent focus on blogging, and partly because for those of you who don’t know, Michael Jordan has always been my hero! :) I’m a huge fan, and he is the number 1 person I wish I could meet someday…. so, when I saw the title of this post, I had to read it! Great job Mike Allton from The Social Media Hat!

Please check these out and let me know what you think!
